Dear Teach Florida Families,
We are pleased to report that both the Florida House and Senate have passed a state budget that includes $20 million for Jewish Day School Security Grant for the 2025–2026 school year.
This funding would provide essential support to ALL 132 Jewish day schools across Florida, ensuring they can continue investing in trained security guards, surveillance systems, fencing, and other critical infrastructure to keep our children safe.
This milestone was made possible by the tireless advocacy of community leaders and the steadfast support of our elected officials in the legislature. We are especially grateful to Governor Ron DeSantis, whose leadership and commitment to the Jewish community, especially in the aftermath of October 7th have been unwavering.
Now, we need your help one final time.
We urge you to thank Governor DeSantis for his ongoing support and ask him to approve this budget line item so that our schools can continue to be safe havens for learning and growth.
