Daniel Aqua Joins Teach Florida as Field Director

(Hollywood, FL) – Daniel Aqua joins Teach Florida’s fight for safer, better and more affordable Jewish day schools as the organization’s first Field Director.  Daniel will be responsible for engaging Jewish parents and community members to vote and take action on behalf of Jewish students, families and schools.

“Providing our children with a quality Jewish education is an integral part of ensuring the future of the Jewish people,” said Daniel. “Our goal is to ensure that parents can give their children that opportunity.”

Daniel is a graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School and Baruch College.  His commitment to Jewish education includes three years as a teacher in Jewish day schools.  He also served on the Executive Board of the Young Israel of the Upper West side.

Teach Florida is part of the OU’s Teach Advocacy Network, which is on the forefront of the Jewish community’s fight to tackle the tuition crisis through securing equitable government funding. More than $500 million has been secured in six states for nonpublic schools since 2011.  $68 million in scholarships and security funding has been delivered to Jewish schools since 2011.
