Teach NJS Applauds the Nomination of Dr. Lamont Repollet as NJ Commissioner of Education
Teach NJS, the nonpartisan organization advocating for government funding in nonpublic schools, issued the following statement regarding Governor Elect Phil Murphy’s nomination of Dr. Lamont Repollet to serve as Commissioner of Education for the State of New Jersey.
Teach Advocacy Network Executive Director Maury Litwack said: “We congratulate Dr. Lamont Repollet on his nomination to be the next New Jersey Commissioner of Education. A lifelong educator, Dr. Repollet turned around Asbury Park’s school system, improving literacy, test scores and attendance.”
Teach NJS Regional Director Josh Caplan added: “Dr. Repollet has built his entire career on standing up for children regardless of background or where they started out in life. We look forward to working with him and Governor-Elect Phil Murphy on behalf of all students in New Jersey.”
