Teach NYS Congratulates Councilmembers on Chairmanships  

Teach NYS, the Orthodox Union project advocating for government funding in nonpublic schools, issued the following statement regarding the appointments of Councilmen Daniel Dromm as Chair of the City Council Finance Committee, and Mark Treyger as Chair of the City Council Education Committee.

Teach NYS Executive Director Jake Adler said “We congratulate Councilmembers Dromm and Treyger on becoming the new respective chairs of the Finance and Education Committees. Council Members Dromm and Treyger are both lifelong public servants who began their careers as teachers, and have always stood up for New York City’s children.  We look forward to working with them and the entire City Council on behalf of our schools and working families of faith across the city.”
