Updates To The Mandated Services Claims Process

CAP-MSRHere at Teach Coalition we are already busy at work preparing schools’ 2021-2022 Mandated Services claims so that they are ready for submission when the portal opens. The NYS Education Department has announced that they expect to open the portal for 2021-2022 claims by no later than December 31, 2022. The deadline to submit 2021-2022 school year claims will be on April 1, 2023.  

As with the prior year’s claims, all submitted claims will be paid to schools by May 31, 2023. Claims put on hold will also be paid by May 31, 2023; however, schools will have to provide required documents to clear the hold. If a claim is on hold, schools will not be able to file for future claims until the hold is resolved. Please note, the MSA-CAP system will not accept 2021-2022 school year claims at any future date past April 1, 2023.
