Teach Coalition advocates for government policies and funding to benefit yeshivot, day schools and nonpublic schools. Priority issues include security, STEM, mandated services, and COVD-19 policies, including school openings and kosher meal distribution.
The Associate Field Director is responsible for cultivating relationships with activists, lay leaders, school officials, school board members to create a strong grassroots movement focused on Ambassador networks, advocacy, voting, development and event management in their assigned communities. As part of a growing grassroots team, the field director will be supported by the state and national office.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit and cultivate relationships with 20 community leaders to be Teach lay leaders and influencers in each subregion.
- Work with Jewish yeshivot heads, lay and professional leaders to keep informed and engaged in advocacy and policy work
- Recruit, grow and manage ambassador networks, GOTV boosters and activists through meeting, cultivating and training people from such groups as: yeshivot, parents, synagogue members, and Jewish education supporters
- Engage Teach constituents in action alerts, events and other advocacy activities
- Expand area’s voter database and voter registration activities
- Recruit and manage GOTV strategy and activists
- Fundraising and donor development with lay leaders, yeshivot and activists as funders
- Represent Teach at yeshivot & community events and forums
- Participate in fundraising campaigns and events
