About Teach Coalition
Founded by the Orthodox Union, lay leaders and a broad network of Jewish day schools and yeshivas, Teach Advocacy’s success relies on the active participation of our families, schools, rabbis and communities.
The tuition crisis will not end overnight. But every year, we are making progress and sending millions of dollars to nonpublic schools across the country.
Our accomplishments

Advocated for a record $25 million increase in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, for a total $160 million in tax-credit scholarships for K-12 students at nonpublic schools; -
Helped secure state backing for the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) program, funded at $50 million for 2018-19; -
Advocated for $88 million in state funding for various services such as guidance counseling and speech services at nonpublic schools; -
Pushed to maintain $27 million in state funding for textbooks and equipment at nonpublic schools in the 2018-19 state budget.
